Giving up was not an option...I was diagnosed with Non Hodgkins Lymphoma and determined not to let the disease get the best of me. Amidst the shock of the diagnosis and looking for an escape from the hand I had been delt, I borrowed a friends sewing machine and started sewing. I took some of the finished products to a store I used to own and the women went crazy over them. Within a few hours all of my bags had sold out. It was at this time that I realized Cancer was not going to define me nor hinder my new found passion!
Durring this time I was reading a lot of inspirational material and with every page I turned there was confirmation that I was moving in the right direction. Mercy and Grace. By the Mercy of God I was still here and by his Grace I was given the time to be able to work through this and learn. It was obvious to me, my new business name would be none other than Mercy & Grace Designs.
God is a strong influence in my life. I am grateful every day for the blessing he has given me; the opportunity to share this talent of mine and the ability to share in the lives of my children and grandchildren. I have been forever humbled by what some would consider a death sentence... I took the road less traveled and found my greatest opportunity to grow. I am forever grateful for my beautiful life.
God Bless all.
